THE MISSION BEHIND THE METRICS

Mission & Metrics is a small boutique that wants to help make the world more equitable and opportunity rich for everyone. Stronger nonprofits created stronger communities, so we're on a mission to help as many nonprofits as we can!

Our firm offers some of the traditional nonprofit consulting fees services you'll see at other firms, but we created a new specialized service that help small and mid-size nonprofits plan for sustainable growth.

Todays challenges are more complex and nuanced, so we created a new, specialized, service that considers all aspects of a nonprofit and helps them develop a clear and practical growth plan that is scalable and sustainable.

Mission & Metrics Advisors

The mission behind the metrics is what gives the numbers meaning—and it's what drives everything Julie Murawski does.

Mission & Metrics was founded by Julie Murawski, a seasoned nonprofit leader with more than two decades of experience advancing mission-driven work across sectors and communities. She has dedicated her career to learning, practicing, and refining the art and science of fundraising, always with a focus on helping organizations build meaningful, measurable, and sustainable impact.

Julie has been a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Genesee Valley Chapter (AFPGV) since 2004. Over the years, she has attended nearly two dozen local AFP conferences, multiple AFP International Conferences, CASE District II Conferences, and countless trainings and webinars. Her commitment to ongoing professional development has shaped a thoughtful, informed, and effective approach to fundraising.

Julie has also had the privilege of working alongside and learning from some of the most respected fundraising professionals in the field. She has secured philanthropic support from individuals, corporations, and foundations, and has held leadership roles in aging services, healthcare, and higher education. Her experience also extends to working closely with and advising local and national membership-based organizations, arts and cultural institutions, and small, mid, and large community service organizations. This breadth allows her to understand the unique challenges organizations face while keeping sight of the bigger picture.

At her core, Julie is a servant leader. She leads with authenticity, curiosity, and a deep respect for the people behind every mission. She believes that sustainable impact doesn’t come from doing more—it comes from building the right systems, aligning strategy with purpose, and creating space for both organizations and the people within them to thrive.

Through Mission & Metrics, Julie partners with nonprofit leaders to move beyond survival mode and into clarity, confidence, and long-term sustainability.

THE METHODOLOGY

THE METHODOLOGY

DATA DIAGNOSTIC

We begin by analyzing internal financial structures to uncover untapped revenue opportunities and identify operational inefficiencies that limit strategic growth.

STRATEGIC BENCHMARKING

We then compare organizational metrics against nonprofit best practices to ensure financial strategies are sustainable, resilient, and aligned with industry standards.

IMPACT IMPLEMENTATION

Finally, we translate data into action—developing clear, board-ready guidance that moves your mission forward with fiscal precision and confidence.
